1. What is raised semicircle IP68 COB LED strip?

It adopts Chip‑on‑Board packaging with one‑piece silicone co‑extrusion.

Its light‑emitting side features raised arc convex profile. It delivers dot‑free lighting output.

Rated IP68 for long‑term underwater submersion. 

Suitable for water features, outdoor contour lighting and signboard projects.

2. What advantages does raised semicircle COB strip have compared with flat‑surface COB strip?

The raised semicircle silicone acts like a lens to concentrate light beam and deliver higher illuminance at long distance. 

The thicker co‑extruded layer brings better scratch‑resistance. 

Flat‑surface COB provides diffused soft light with relatively weaker far‑distance brightness.

3. Will raised semicircle IP68 COB strip keep IP68 rating after cutting?

Original strip body is IP68 rated. 

Cutting breaks co‑extruded silicone protection and waterproof performance fails.

After cutting and soldering, cut ends must be fully encapsulated with matched end caps and make it full IP68 submersion rating.

4. Is the raised semicircle silicone vulnerable to scratch damage?

The thick co‑extruded raised semicircle silicone offers better abrasion resistance than flat type.

However, sharp hard objects may still tear the gel under heavy impact.

Avoid direct friction with gravel and sharp metal in underwater applications.

5. Does IP68 rating mean power supply and controller can be submerged?

Only the LED strip body supports continuous underwater use.

Power supply, controller and wire joints must not be immersed in water.

They shall be installed in dry protective housing above water.

For water with chemical additives, pool IP68 neon is recommended.

6. Does raised semicircle IP68 COB strip support dimming?

It supports standard PWM dimming with compatible constant‑voltage dimmable driver.

Voltage‑adjust dimming is forbidden. 

It causes abnormal chip operation, accelerates lumen depreciation and shortens service life.

7. What is the cutting unit for raised semicircle IP68 COB strip?

Cut strictly along printed pixel cutting marks on PCB.

Cutting unit is defined by COB chip grouping circuit.

Random cutting damages internal circuit and results in dark sections or abnormal lighting.

8. What precautions for underwater installation?

Protect raised semicircle silicone surface from squeezing and impact during installation.

Release mechanical tension from wiring. Evaluate voltage drop for long runs and add power‑injection points. 

Pool IP68 neon is preferred for seawater or chemically treated water.

9. What notes for power supply selection?

Use regulated constant‑voltage DC power supply, reserve 20%-30% power margin based on real total wattage.

Rain‑proof power supply is mandatory for underwater projects. 

Calculate voltage drop for long‑distance installation and apply multi‑point power‑injection if needed to prevent tail‑end brightness loss.
