1. What is SPI Pxiel COB LED strip?

It adopts Chip‑on‑Board packaging with built‑in SPI digital control IC. Each pixel segment is individually addressable. 

Without discrete LED dot spots, it delivers highly uniform light output. 

It supports programmed dynamic effects such as chasing, flowing, gradient and color animations.

2. What advantages does COB SPI pixel strip have compared with ordinary SMD SPI pixel strip?

COB chips are directly bonded to substrate, light blends seamlessly with no visible dot pattern even at close viewing distance. 

It provides softer lighting, better heat dissipation and lower lumen depreciation for smoother dynamic transitions.

3. Can SPI Pixel COB strip be cut? What is cutting unit?

Cut only along marked pixel cutting lines on PCB. Cutting unit is defined by IC grouping. 

Random cutting will damage pixel circuit and result in unresponsive or dark sections.

4. Can standard single white controller drive SPI Pixel COB strip directly?

No. Ordinary single white controllers output analog PWM signal. 

SPI pixel strip requires dedicated SPI pixel controller, and controller IC profile must match strip IC. 

Mismatch leads to random flicker, wrong color or total failure.

5. What is maximum single‑run length for SPI COB strip? Will signal degrade over long distance?

Both voltage drop and digital‑signal attenuation limit maximum length. 

For runs longer than recommended length, extra power injection and signal amplifier are required. 

Do not daisy‑roll multiple reels directly, otherwise color shift and pixel malfunction will occur.

6. Why is common ground required for SPI COB strip wiring?

SPI transmits digital data signal via data line. Power GND and controller GND must share same ground reference. 

Poor ground connection causes unstable signal, random flicker and pixel mis‑behavior.

7. If color swap happens, what is the cause?

Mostly caused by mismatched color‑order setting on controller, not hardware defect. 

Switch color sequence in controller software to fix it.

8. What precautions for outdoor installation of SPI COB strip?

Select proper IP rated version. Though COB gel is integrated, solder joints and cut ends are weak points. 

All cut‑and‑solder joints must be fully waterproof sealed. Keep power supply and controller in dry location.

9. What notes for power supply selection for SPI COB strip?

Use regulated constant‑voltage DC power supply, reserve 20%‑30% power margin based on total strip wattage. 

Do not adjust brightness by varying input voltage, all brightness and effects are handled by SPI controller. 

Overloaded power supply causes pixel error and dead LEDs.
